Metal is Awesome

Greensforged is currently exploring the next generation of metallic pads.  Hand-cast custom alloy surfaces are in development.  We’ll also be introducing a non-metallic recycled mineral mousing surface.  Both are scheduled for availability in spring of 2012.  Stay tuned.

Greensforged in the Media

Wired.com :

Snark Law would dictate that I point out that all mousepads are the last mousepad you’ll ever need because, unless you compute on a glass-topped desk, you don’t need a pad at all. But aesthetic considerations contradict the laws of snark and tell us instead that this is in fact the hottest mousepad ever.

Gizmodo :

Greensforged sells hand-made steel mouse pads. Their lineup includes the Cirque du Pwnage, the Teardrop, and the Hugepad. They’re all steel and they’re all badass. But the The Ravenholm, with a circular saw design, is the baddest-ass of them all.

Crunchgear :

These mousepads are made of 1/8″ rolled steel, and the larger ones weigh four pounds. Take one to a LAN party; if you get owned, just start rage-bludgeoning! Every one is hand-made, and they claim the finishing method they use is perfect for laser-based mice. Sure! Hell, I’ll believe anything they say, because anyone who makes things out of solid steel is A-OK in my book.

Testimonials

“I love my Greenspad! It’s fast and feels frictionless. It’s smooth and soft, and the cold steel slowly warms to your hands. Highly recommended!”

“My Greens Pad arrived today. And look: I’m not saying this just because greens is a good guy, a real mensch, who I also know has access to explosives, but it is a really frickin’ awesome mousepad. Already planning at least one gift purchase.”

“After using the mousePLATFORM for a couple of weeks, I must say, it’s splendid.  A little cold before the fire of my loins frag-fist warms it up, but I like that.”

You need one of these.
